Hi, my name is Ifrah, and my friend Maha is helping me raise funds for my Master’s degree. I have been admitted to the Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada for a Master’s degree in their marketing program. To confirm my admission, I need to submit $4000 by June 10th, and then the tuition for the semester needs to be submitted. I need to show a year's funding available in order to successfully get the study permit. I will be looking for jobs available for students once I get there, to pay for the day to day expenses, but I really do need to secure tuition funding first.

A little bit about myself – I have been raised by a single mother since I was 16. With the help of my extracurricular activities and academic records, I was able to study mostly on scholarships throughout my A-Levels. During undergrad, I had a partial scholarship available, with which I started freelancing to pay for my tuition, hostel fees, and miscellaneous costs. I took up various odd jobs to gather funds to put myself through undergrad. After graduating, I got a job in a media agency, and after a little over a year, I joined a telecom company as a Brand Specialist. Through a year full of hard work and determination, I was promoted to Assistant Brand Manager.

After years of my mother supporting me relentlessly, it was my time to let her rest and take on the reins. I took up the responsibility of taking care of my family – my mother and my sister – as soon as I graduated, regardless of the size of my paycheck. Living in a volatile economy, it has been quite challenging, but we have managed. Now that my sister has graduated and has a job, I know she will be able to look after herself and our mom for a while.

This is the right time for me to pursue higher studies in order to gain the skills and knowledge to excel in my career. Any amount of help that can get me closer to my goal would be greatly appreciated.
