Help keep us float
Four days ago, we were subject to a bank hack which meant in seconds; our funds were cleared from our account, which was no fault of our own; I have been silently battling to recover the funds with the NAB for days.
Today I have learnt that NAB cannot guarantee the return of funds, and the recovery process can take 4-6 weeks. This is your money, our money and our future and NAB has shown us no commitment to recovery.
We are the first grocery store in the world to reuse plastic and ocean waste to make our much-loved refill bag in a sole bid to end single-use plastic in your weekly grocery shops, an easy swap that fixes the problem.
The reality is the level of funds taken we cannot withstand; I am turning to our community as I do not know where else to turn and asking you to help keep us afloat by donating, pledging a shop, and sharing this with everyone.
All capital is to help us continue operating and doing things we do. Our community creates us for you and the planet. In a short time, we stopped 642kg of plastic hitting landfill and recovered 29,000 plastic packets from landfill.
I could have continued to suffer in silence. Instead, I decided to turn to you for help in a bid to rally together so we can stay afloat.
