Hello...
My husband and I have been running a motel for the past ten years and have recently fallen on hard times trying to maintain. We had lost our online booking agent due to exorbitant PGE costs; PGE had our property listed as Residential not Commercial - we were being charged 3 to 4 times more than required. By the time we discovered this error, we lost the booking search account. We are no longer earning an income to pay our bills.
We had placed our faith in someone, we were referred to, who offered to help us out and in the two months "HE" was guiding us we sank deeper into debt. Now we face losing everything -our home, our business...everything. On top of all this, we are caring for my sister who has less than three months to live and is now facing the cost of funeral expenses.
We have sacrificed, sold and given up many things yet it is still not enough to keep us afloat. We have no way to heat our home, cook our meals (gas), or keep the water heater running. Soon we will lose water, phones, internet and cable to the rooms of the motel and the office.
Running this motel is our livelihood. This motel has aided our family for years; we have supported our four children and seven grandchildren over the years AND helped the community of Cottonwood, California whenever the town(s) have suffered power outages, fires, and hardships. This motel has been a fixture in the community since 1936 and has passed through many hands over the years. This motel allows travelers and tourists alike to visit families, attend weddings, family gatherings and funerals, as well as, welcome people from all over the world to visit Mount Lassen, Shasta-Trinity Forest, Shasta Lake...
The Chamber of Commerce and locals know we provide a safe, clean and family-friendly environment.
Please help us...
Thank you for taking the time to read this and may GOD bless you and keep you safe,
Alicia and Robin
