"Idiot Workshop" is a short format comedy series mockumentary about a failing improv group led by John Gilkey, the self-proclaimed maestro of the unscripted stage. Every Wednesday, twelve comedic "idiots" aged 23 to 55 gather for three hours to practice their craft, yet their monthly shows attract few attendees.
Each 5-10 minute episode captures their ego clashes, inappropriate behavior, tedium, and romance. With unique personalities and desires, their humorous and bizarre encounters highlight their desperate efforts to improve their act and draw a crowd. From mid-life crises to misguided attempts at innovation, "Idiot Workshop" offers a hilarious glimpse into the world of a group determined to succeed against the odds.
