IMPROVE OUR SURGERY'S DIAGNOSTIC CAPACITY

Hello, we are the Patient Participation Group (PPG) at Crossley Street GP Surgery, Wetherby, a busy practice serving around 12,000 patients in Wetherby and the surrounding villages.

One of the surgery’s key priorities has been to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis of skin conditions, particularly skin cancer, and this is why we have been are asking you to help us purchase a dermatoscope. This is vital piece of equipment that allows GPs to examine skin lesions with greater magnification and clarity.

Your response in the last weeks of combined giving both online and in the surgery has been amazing, and we have exceeded our total target! With the amount raised we are now able to purchase the dermatoscope and ALSO some other urgently needed items of diagnostic equipment which will enable the surgery to provide better services to patients. (We had originally intended to fund a wheelchair if we had surplus funds but one has kindly been donated).

Our appeal will remain open until 28th March, and any further support we may receive before then will be used to provide upgrades to the dermatoscope.
