Identical twin boys came 3 months early.

Hi my name is Marleah and my daughter Kyiah gave birth to her identical twin boys 3 months early. 

Due to the nature of her pregnancy, the doctors had been keeping a close eye on her and babies from day one. She's been having to travel 2 hours twice a month to get an indepth ultrasound. On Nov.15th she was going to Calgary for her ultra sound when the technician noticed something just wasn't right. The twins had a severe case of twin to twin transfusion, which if not corrected only has a 10-15% survival rate. In less than 1 hour, Kyiah had been induced and had an emergency c-section to bring baby Lennon and baby Liam into the world. Weighing 1.7lbs and 2lbs. They are both currently under light therapy for jaundice as well as in incubators in critical condition. They are expected to be in the NICU until February or March of 2024.

The stress of having babies so suddenly, and in an emergency situation is overwhelming enough but to add the financial burden of living 2 hours away from the hospital is just too much for new parents to have to carry. Both Kyiah and her partner are going to have to take a significant amount of time off of work, as well as travel back and forth until there is a spot available at the Ronald McDonald House for them. We are hoping to raise something to help ease their stress, even if only by a little bit. Every and anything helps.
