Idan Zareski's Get Back Up Fund

Hello Art lovers, my name is Idan Zareski, I am a sculptor, known internationally for my Bigfoot Family Sculptures.

On Monday night, June 26, 2017, the Miami workshop was destroyed by fire… and sadly we were not covered by insurance.

The incident happened while we were in the final stage of making a 21 feet (7m) monumental sculpture of Le Siffleur (the Whisler), my biggest achievement to date… We had been working on it for 6 months now…

The fire started in the middle of the night and burned down the entire studio destroying the tools, the equipment, the molds and most of my sculptures, bringing my production to a complete stop…

Moreover, we were in the midst of preparing multiple sculptures for the Miami December Art Basel art fair and a significant line up of pieces had to be produced.

This is a huge setback and tremendous hit for me as a multitude of projects, expos, events, and deliveries are left uncompleted…
The financial material loss is one thing but the hit is even harder because of the impossibility to stay afloat without generating any regular production.

I have never set up a funding campaign and feel uncomfortable asking for help but many people worldwide have been following my journey from the beginning so I felt compelled to share this publicly…

Making sculptures is an expensive and lengthy process. Without any funding, moving forward is practically impossible and rebuilding becomes a distant dream…

I need help to rebuild the studio, to buy the tools again and to relaunch the production urgently.

A video of the workshop fire damage...

And a video of the workshop and the crew hard at work in the final stages of Le SIffleur a few weeks before the fire...

Like the Fenix I hope to rise from the ashes... I believe that things will turn around and that we will find a way to put this catastrophe behind us and get back on our feet, hopefully with your help...

Thank you very much for your kindness and support, it means a great deal to me and I will be eternally grateful...
