Ida manville flooding help

Hello, my name is Carrisa and I was impacted by hurricane ida. After isolation and recovering from covid, the flood in Manville, New Jersey was the worst experience of my life. We were supposed to sit down to eat. When my dog alerted me (while we were in the basement) that something was wrong. As I turned to look at my dog I see the water coming in. I ran to get the family and as I came back down within seconds the floor was already at inches. We live in the basement because it’s more private for us but in those moments my heart was breaking. My boyfriends family, himself and I literally lost so much to the damaging water. We had to watch the water destroy everything right before our eyes. All of our items, gone. We can’t keep any of it because of the BACTERIA and BLACK MOLD. The basement walls also all have to be torn down and rebuilt. We need a new boiler, heating, electrical and more to get ready for winter. All of our winter clothes were submerged in the black water. The holiday items I’ve had since I was a baby, sentimentals and items with so much memories also didn’t stand a chance. We watched our washer floating in the water along with our new refrigerator.The community is doing its best to help one another but with house explosions, houses and cars underwater an missing people everyone needs help.

After the covid recovery we are in no way back to 100% health and still as we clean are struggling. We appreciate ANY donation, or even just sharing this around. You OUR friends an family have always truly impacted our lives and memories. Help me get my family back to our feet.
