My lifelong friend of 40 years is going blind. She's an artist. I'm sure you realize what blindness means for an artist. She lives on her meager Social Security check & what she makes selling her intricate bead work.   Her Medicare will not pay for her laser surgery, nor will it pay for the numerous drugs she will need.  My husband is willing to help with a $500 donation.  But that is just not enough.  So, please ... pretty please, help if you can.
