Help India Breathe
The situation
4,00,000 cases a day with close to 4000 deaths a day. These numbers are generally accepted to be under-reported by experts due to lack of clear data in India. The scientists are saying the deaths should be 10 times the amount at 35,000 deaths a day, we are not sure but what we are seeing is people we know passing away daily. The bodies are being put into mass graves and burning their bodies with no dignity in their death. Fear has gripped the people of our nation and we believe we need to be the hope for many during this crisis.

About our organization:
I’m Josh Komanapalli and I’ve moved to India after spending 15 years in the USA for college and work. I now work with different organizations such as Miriam School, K.S.Joseph Memorial Hospital, to help people living in poverty. We run educational institutions to help break the cycle of poverty for many children through sponsorship of their education. With the hospital, we offer very low cost services to make healthcare sustainable. K.S. Joseph Memorial was founded in the early 70’s by Bishop Ernest and Rachel Komanapalli and since 1977 has been directed and managed by Rev. Carl Komanapalli. I’ve taken responsibility to run the hospital since 2015. We look to help those in villages gain access to quality healthcare by bringing the old and vulnerable to the hospital for needed surgeries and treatment for health related issues.
Hand in Hand International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which makes all donations tax-deductible.
