ICH BIN DA (AT) – Ein Abschlussfilm über Selbstzweifel, Freundschaft und den Mut, sich seinen Ängsten zu stellen

Wir sind ein junges Berliner Filmteam und stehen kurz vor dem wichtigsten Projekt unseres Studiums: unserem Abschlussfilm ICH BIN DA (AT). Ein ca. 10-minütiges, musikgetriebenes Drama über die Angst zu scheitern – und über den Moment, in dem eine Entscheidung alles verändern kann.

Worum geht’s im Film?

Hagen ist ein talentierter junger Musiker mit einem großen Traum: Er möchte Rapper werden. Ein wichtiger Wettbewerb könnte sein Sprungbrett in die Musikindustrie sein. Doch je näher der große Abend rückt, desto lauter werden seine Selbstzweifel. Er verliert sich in alten Mustern und droht, den Blick für sich selbst zu verlieren – bis Freundschaft und Enttäuschung ihn an einen Punkt bringen, an dem er eine Entscheidung treffen muss: weiter fliehen oder sich dem stellen, was wirklich in ihm steckt.

Warum möchten wir diesen Film realisieren?

Mit diesem Film möchten wir zu allen jungen Menschen mit großen Träumen sprechen, die trotz Talent und harter Arbeit an sich zweifeln. In einer Gesellschaft, die Bescheidenheit fordert, fällt es vielen schwer, für ihre großen Ziele einzustehen — besonders, wenn der eigene Traum ein Leben im Spotlight bedeutet.

Für alle, die mit Selbstzweifeln und der inneren Stimme kämpfen, soll dieser Film eine Erinnerung sein: Du darfst an dich glauben, auch wenn es sonst niemand tut. Dein Weg liegt in deiner Hand.

ICH BIN DA (WT) – A graduation film about self-doubt, friendship, and the courage to confront your fears

We are a young film crew based in Berlin and are about to embark on the most important project of our studies: our graduation film ICH BIN DA (WT). An approximately 10-minute, music-driven drama about the fear of failure – and about the moment when one decision can change everything.

What is the film about?

Hagen is a talented young musician with a big dream: he wants to become a rapper. An important competition could be his springboard into the music industry. But the closer the big night gets, the louder his self-doubts become. He loses himself in old patterns and threatens to lose sight of himself — until friendship and disappointment bring him to a point where he has to make a decision: continue to run away or face what is really inside him.

Why do we want to make this film?

With this film, we want to speak to all young people with big dreams who doubt themselves despite their talent and hard work. In a society that demands modesty, many find it difficult to stand up for their big goals — especially when their dream means a life in the spotlight.

For all those who struggle with self-doubt and inner voices, this film is meant to be a reminder: you can believe in yourself, even if no one else does. Your path is in your hands.

Berlin-based director & editor. Winner of “Best Drama Music Video” (Munich Music Video Awards). Studied film & television in Los Angeles, among other places.

Production – Justus Almstedt

Berlin-based producer with experience in film, events, and creative development. Loves unusual perspectives and authentic stories.

Up-and-coming musicians who bring their real artistic journey into the film's storyline.
