Hi, I'm Tyler. I’m 14 years old and I've been selected to play for the Scotland U15 Ice hockey team in Helsinki, Finland this April.
Ice hockey has played a significant role throughout my life. I grew up in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, and currently compete with the Dundee Stars at both U16 and U19 levels. I have also had the honour of training alongside the men's SNL team, the Dundee Rockets. My passion for ice hockey is evident, and you can view all my achievements by scanning the QR Code. I am committed to rigorous training and personal growth, always striving to reach my full potential in the sport.
Ice hockey is not a subsidised sport, and participation in international tournaments can incur costs of several thousand pounds. Expenses such as travel, accommodation, equipment, and tournament fees accumulate rapidly. The Scottish Ice Hockey Association (SIHA), our governing body, has generously offered to match up to £250 of any funds I raise. As a result, your support could have twice the impact, helping me reach a total of £500.
I'm raising funds for my upcoming trip by climbing Cairn Gorm dressed in my ice hockey kit. With your generosity, not only will you help me reach Helsinki, but you'll also support my favorite charity: Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). For every £100 I collect, I'll donate £20 to CHAS.
Every donation counts, and I sincerely appreciate your support. Thank you for helping me pursue my dream and contribute to a worthy cause.
