Hello friends and family! I  have recently  been blessed with a once and a lifetime opportunity to attend the DECA International Career Development Conference, in Orlando, Florida!
What is DECA you might ask? DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. By helping me through my journey you're not only allowing me to receive the chance to learn more about the career i'm passionate about, but also giving me the opportunity to gain more knowledge through something I plan to pursue for my future. DECA has played a significant role in my life by helping me realize that business is exactly what i plan to do as i grow up. Not only has it helped me with my leadership skills, by allowing me to be DECA officer two years in a row (Secretary and Vice President), but also helping me build new networking and presentation skills that I would've never thought would lead me to competition level. This is not an everyday experience for me, especially since i have never been out of the state of California, which is another reason why it would be a great opportunity for me.  If you are unable to donate, no worries!
