Hi,

I am Ellen, a Belgian scientist living and working in Värmland in Sweden. For the occasion of my 59th birthday I am fundraising to help the displaced people in Al-Mawasi, near Khan Yunis in Gaza to get fresh drinking water, the most essential resource of life.

Our family has established daily contact with Ibrahim Qarra and supported his family since July 2025. The donations arrive to him and can make a difference immediately.

Ibrahim is a 22 year old young man from Southern Gaza. Before the war he studied to become a Physics teacher at the Islamic University in Gaza city. Their house, as well as his university, were completely destroyed. He and his family were forced to evacuate to the Al-Mawasi area where they live, together with other displaced families in a tent camp. Their daily lives are all about trying to survive, to find food from aid trucks or from the market and collect water. Their lives have changed drastically compared to before the war.

During the last two weeks of July, Ibrahim has organised three water deliveries to the camp. A water tank truck drives to their camp to deliver 7000 liter of fresh water for over 100 families, including about 500 children. You can see the pictures from the distributions.

One water tanker costs € 400 (4400 kr).

The 70 liters of water per family last for one day. The other days they need to walk very far to the delivery station with heavy containers. To ease their suffering during this 2-year siege of Gaza, we ask your support for this cause.

The donations will be used for two deliveries of drinking water by water trucks to the camp at Al-Mawasi, and distribution of the water to 100 families living in the tent camp.
