This fall, the Indian Brook PTA won't be asking students to sell pies, candles, or wrapping paper. We're letting everyone "Get Off the Hook" by asking friends and families to simply invest in our students.
With most catalog fundraisers, only 40% of the sales proceeds go to the school. By investing directly in the students through the Indian Brook PTA, you ensure that your tax-deductible donation goes directly to the children. We can more than double the amount of funds that will support field trips, family events, classroom projects, and in-school educational programs!
As town budgets shrink, PTA budgets must grow. The Indian Brook PTA budget for the year is over $25,000, about $40 per student - the bulk of which supports field trips and programming for the students: trips like the Museum of Fine Arts, Franklin Park Zoo, New Bedford Whaling Museum, and Heritage Museum and Gardens, and visiting programs like Tanglewood Marionettes, New England Aquarium, Theatreworks USA, and Historical Perspectives. These programs complement the curriculum and provide unique learning experiences.
If we have 100% participation in this “non-fundraiser” we could reach our annual fundraising goals!
