Run with Maud. In memory of Ahmaud Arbery.

Beginning May 7th, I’m jogging 5k every day for 25 days until May 31st for Ahmaud Arbery. Ahmaud was murdered at age 25 while jogging in his neighborhood in Georgia on February 23rd by two white supremacists - Gregory and Travis McMichael. They have yet to be charged. If you’d like to support me as I run, please donate to my fundraiser. All proceeds will go directly to the Southern Poverty Law Center to honor the life and memory of Maud in solidarity with his family. I’ll be posting my runs every day to my Instagram until I complete 78 miles.
The murder of Ahmaud is documented in a graphic video. His family is suffering the loss of their loved one while grappling with the persistent systemic inequities that plague our society. I encourage you to stand in solidarity with me by running with Maud and / or donating. We cannot remain passive while black lives are mercilessly taken without consequence. Maud's death is a LYNCHING.
Please demand that the murderers who are responsible for taking Ahmaud's life, including the officials that haven't taken action, face consequences.
