IB Global Conference Presentation

We are raising money to send two teachers to the 2019 IB Global Conference in New Orleans. These teachers have been selected to present a session titled Student Agency Inspiring Action, which highlights the wonderful action their students have taken this year in and out of the classroom. 
     The session exemplifies the IB philosophy in practice, including how giving students voice, choice and ownership over their learning can impact a school wide community. These teachers have captured student agency at its finest, incorporating mindfulness, growth mindset and the whole child to encourage students to reach their fullest potential, both academically and socially/emotionally.
    As seasoned IB practitioners, these teachers realized the unique learning engagements that occurred when promoting student agency and are excited to share this experience with conference attendees.
     Expenses:
     Registration fee: $1095/each $2190/total
     Airfare: $434.79/each $869.58/total roundtrip
     Hotel: $185/night +14%tax +$3 occupancy tax + 1.75% tourism fee        $555/total
     Grand total: $3614.58

     Funds are needed by March 29th.
     Both teachers and their students will be so appreciative of your help in sending them to the conference! Supporting teacher leadership is an invaluable demonstration of gratitude that educators need in order to encourage their passion and dedication.
