Ians mobile farm is a family run business set up in 2014 to introduce children to a variety of animals they might not usually get the opportunity to see or touch
, Due to the Coronavirus outbreak we have lost all our bookings and with that our 2020 income! We have effectively become a charity overnight with very little experience in fundraising. Our educational mobile farm would usually take animals into Primary schools & nurseries all over Yorkshire and surrounding counties to teach children all about animals and their needs as well as taking our animals into care homes, Hospices etc.
Sadly the virus struck us after an expensive winter and at the start of what would be our busiest time of the year. We desperately need your help to ensure we can care for all our animals (many of which we have rescued) and continue to provide this community service.
We know many of you will also be feeling the effects financially, rest assured we have exhausted every avenue and sadly there is no government support forthcoming for our unique farm. We receive no farming subsidies or grants we are fully self funded from our visits and our farm (Nanny Goat Farm)
We have extremely high running costs with very little profit, we do not do this for money but rather the enjoyment of seeing both children and adults get so much out of interacting and learning about the animals which we think is vital Realistically this years income has now been lost and we can’t see visits starting again until next spring we need to somehow raise well over £25,000 to be able to continue to care for all the animals ,
We always allow for a number of cancellations each year however loosing all of them is absolutely catastrophic, if you can help in anyway even if you can’t afford to donate please share our story, sadly as yet mainstream media have not seen our cause as a newsworthy story. We really appreciate your support and generosity already shown by so many and we would like to thank everyone and wish you all good health.
