Ian & Troyah Dabney's Daughter's Educational Fund
Donation protected
My name is T.J. Tzur, and just like many of you who are reading this, my life was touched and forever changed the moment Ian Dabney became a part of it. He started as my son Jack's basketball coach but quickly became more than that. He became a big brother figure to Jack, and soon after that, both he and his wife Troyah became a part of our family. The bond that developed grew to include me, my wife, Amy, our daughter Sydney, and even my parents. This was no longer about basketball, and our family considers itself to be extremely fortunate that this was the case.
I am sure that everyone reading this has a similar story about their experiences with Ian. He was a coach, a mentor, a role model, a friend, a husband, a son, a brother and a kind soul. He was taken from us all far too soon.
While losing Ian is extremely difficult for us to process, we need to focus on how much he meant to us and, most importantly, our children. Ian and his wife are expecting a baby girl in November. It is critical that we, as a community, are there for their daughter the way Ian was there for our kids. Collectively, let's show our support and how much he meant to us. I created this Go Fund Me campaign to help raise money for Ian & Troyah's daughter's future educational needs. This child will obviously know from her mother, just how special her father was. However, this is our opportunity to make sure that she knows just how many people's lives her father touched.
Please give as much as you can. Pass this along to anyone you think may not have been included in the original email distribution, and most importantly, keep Ian's wife and family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you!
