Please share and/or donate to help with Ian's final voyage home to Kenya.
Hi I'm Susanna, I'm student at Chisholm Institute completing a bachelors degree in community mental health and alcohol and other drugs. Rencently we lost one of our fellow classmates and a dear friend. His loss has rocked our tight knit group. He was friendly, kind, patient man and he was motivated to serve his community. A beautiful and gentle soul. We miss him deeply. Ian died in tragic and unexpected circumstances.
The family must repatriate their brother and nephew home to Kenya, as is their custom. However this is an expensive process. We wish to help them bring Ian home.
The in formation for a memorial service for Ian was advised by his family. Here is what his sister wrote.
Dear Friends and Family
As we continue to mourn the loss of our beloved brother Ian, I want to share that his body has been transferred to Alison Monkhouse, where preparations for repatriation are underway.
To honour Ian’s memory, we have organized body viewing and memorial service. This will take place on Monday, September 2, at 2 PM. The service will be held at Burwood Hwy & Stud Rd, Wantirna.
This is a time for us to come together, reflect on Ian's life, and support one another during this difficult period. Your presence would mean a lot to all of us.
Warm regards,
Val Ian's sister
