Ian Relief for Shaun & Christina
Donation protected
You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to ride them. That is Surf Naples. That is Shaun Jacobs and Christina Llamas. Shaun and Christina, owners of the local business Surf Naples, lost all of their personal belongings and their home suffered catastrophic damage during Hurricane Ian. They were forced to abandon their home and vehicle due to the rising flood waters. Like many others, they’ve been through a lot and could use a helping hand.
Shaun and Christina have worked with so many families in our community over the years hosting summer camps, skim clubs and volunteering their time for beach clean ups and the beloved ONSS skim jam. I would love to see the community surround these guys as they are displaced and begin to rebuild their home. They’ve already had some handy friends and family show up to help remove everything and demo the house and they are so grateful!
Being a small business owner means they don’t get paid time off, there are no sick days, there is no paid vacation. They do not know when they will be able to resume normal work activities as they both work at the beach and have a long road ahead rebuilding their home.
As you may know, Shaun and Christina are also foster parents. They invest so much of themselves in others, whether it be their foster son or the countless other kids in this community. It’s time we return the love. This family needs our help.
