Hi my name is David Bates. I made it to the top of Snowdonia. Unfit 18 stone fat lad with high blood pressure. I've not trained at all and made it to the top. We went up a grade 1 scramble. Crib goch route. Which is a climb and scramble on a knife edge. For a mile. With a 750ft drop. I have never been as scared in my life.

The last few KM I was dead on my feet. I could hardly breathe. I felt I needed a purpose to get me over the finish line.

So I've decided that I want to raise money towards Ian Mann's family after his recent sad passing. Ian was a very polite lovely man with a big heart. He was well known in the community. His sad sudden passing came as a shock to everyone. He was an avid pool team player and very well known to the people of Wombwell. A very loyal guy that will be very sadly missed by all.

All money raised will be passed onto Ian's family to use as they wish.
