Ian Kelly's Fight to Beat Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer

Donación protegida
Hi, My name is Jayne-Ann Chatten. As most of you know, my dear cousin, Ian Kelly, was diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal (adenocarcinoma) cancer about a year ago. He has been through all the chemo, radiation and immunotherapy the doctors here in Canada can give him. He has sought the help other medical professional for treatment's used in Europe, which have helped to prolong his life and improve his quality of life. The treatments are at great personal expense. He is now seeking further treatment in Mexico. Any donation you can make to his ongoing care, would be greatly appreciated by him and his family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Now, here is a message from Ian's oldest daughter Emma:
Many of You may know my dad was diagnosed with cancer Last year with stage 4 adenocarcinoma and it was the most devastating news. He had a tumour in his esophagus that sits right where his stomach meets that also spread to his lymph nodes. Simply eating has been a challenge, where they’ve placed 2 stents now in his esophagus to give him what hopefully is a quality of life. He’s underwent chemo as well as radiation to potentially shrink and minimize the cancer. Unfortunately, the chemo has only made a negative effect on his health and currently he is at a stand still. Anyone who knows My dad knows he is the most cheerful, selfless human to walk this earth. After his diagnosis we were stumped, unsure what path was the best for him. He was told he wasn’t able to work any longer, and since then we’ve been living off the money he made from selling his house a few months prior, and living in a trailer on a piece of property. Winter came along and a trailer was not realistic so my dad had to make the decision to start renting. We currently are in a house that we have till September of this year. I am one of 3, me being 21, my sister Leigha following at 14 and my brother Christian at age 10. My dad being our whole world, we only want to see him get better. Recently he was informed about a treatment in Mexico that consisted of injections of THC straight to his tumour. There has been a huge success rate. A friend of mine was battling stage 4 breast cancer, and her doctor and oncologist told her there was nothing left to do for her. She never gave up hope and found Lee who was the lead in her THC treatments. She is now cancer free after enduring treatment. To me and my family, this is my dad’s final hope in being able to survive this. With the flights being expensive and cost of living alone with his medical bills already at $30,000, I am simply asking for help. This is something that took a lot of convincing for my dad, he is never one to ask for help, and always puts on a brave and happy face. If you can’t donate, simply sharing this already means a lot to my family, cancer sucks and I would never wish this upon anyone.
