Ian Evan's Medical Bill Fund
Donation protected
On Thursday December 2nd around 7/8 am, Ian Evans was hit by a car while walking his dogs. He was crossing a crosswalk when he was hit and knocked unconscious. From here the police were called and an ambulance came and picked him up. From there they took him to U of U South Jordan Health Center. When they realized that he had internal bleeding in his brain and fractures in his neck and spine they immediately life flighted him to the University of Utah Hospital. He was treated for a long list of injuries and is currently in a stable condition. He's currently dealing with the after effects of bruised lungs, the fractures in his spine, neck, and jaw, lacerations on his face and hands, internal bleeding in his brain, an injured shoulder, and much more. If you know Ian, you know that he's a fighter and he's giving it his all to recover.
As you can expect, this has resulted in some large medical bills that would be difficult for anyone to pay. We're here to ask for help on Ian's behalf so that he can live without the financial burden of an incident that wasn't his fault. We genuinely appreciate your generosity, compassion, and kindness.
Sincerely,
Ian's Friends and Family
*UPDATE*
We're absolutely blown away by the amount of support and love sent Ian's way. The speed in which we reached our initial goal of $7,000 was shocking in the best way. With that being said, there are quite a few surprise expenses with hospital bills and the percentage that gofundme takes out. Unfortunately our initial goal of $7,000 didn't take into consideration the routine check ups with the specialists that will be required to make sure Ian is to make a proper recovery. This was the reason we decided to update our goal to $10,000.
Again, we appreciate every ounce of generosity and every penny donated. You've all made an enormous impact in such a short period of time and we can't thank you enough.
Sincerely,
Ian's Friends and Family
