Ian Dey

With a heavy heart and a deep sense of care, I'm here to share a cause that's incredibly close to me. I've started this GoFundMe for my second family, the Deys, in their time of immense need.

The Deys are facing the unimaginable—saying goodbye to their beloved father and husband, Ian Dey. The goal of this fund is to ease their financial worries as they navigate the challenging days ahead, honoring Ian's memory and giving them the space to grieve.

On August 9th, at 2215 AEST, Ian passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love that he had cultivated throughout his life. Only a week prior, he received the shocking news of his cancer diagnosis. In just four short days, he left this world on his own terms, leaving behind a legacy of strength and love that will forever endure.

The Deys—Hazel and her two children Jessica and Cameron, —are grappling with a loss that words can't fully capture. Ian was the heart of their family, someone who not only loved deeply but also knew how to lighten any moment with his jokes and warmth.

For me, Ian was more than a family friend; he was a guiding presence during my teenage years. His home was my second home, and the wisdom he shared has shaped my journey. His daughter, a dear soul sister, carries his spirit forward, and it's my personal commitment to stand by the family that welcomed me with open arms.
