Hi my name is Ian Moore and I’m on my way to becoming an Olympic Bodysurfer!

Yeah you heard correct, there is now a USA Bodysurfing team and what’s more, I’ve found myself a place on that team.

Bodysurfing is currently in stages to become an olympic sport in 2032 (these things take a while)

So why bodysurfing?

I’ve been in love bodysurfing with since being a junior lifeguard then California State Lifeguard, In my opinion it’s the purest form of surfing.

I started this recent bodysurfing obsession and journey when I got the idea to film a documentary about bodysurfing, to share my passion and love for the sport.

I began back in 2020 all out of pocket traveling around following top bodysurfers at epic locations.

I decided that since I was going to film. . . I might as well compete, but never thinking I would reach this level of success.

So now here I am with the opportunity to compete in the world championship of bodysurfing and not only that but I really want to take this thing further on top of also trying to finish the documentary I’ve started.

First funding goal is to get enough for me to compete in the World Series coming up Spring 2024

Next would be raising funds for the next year of contests around the world that I want to compete in, contest in France, Australia, Morocco, Puerto Escondito Mexico, Brazil, Hawaii, Santa Cruz, Portugal, and a few more!

Finally additional funds would be used to continue work on the documentary project “Whomp”
