Ian needs our help . Not sure how many people know that Ian is sick . For the past 2 years he has got progressively worse and he is moving back North to get some proper medical attention .
It started with dizziness and being unable to walk well and not being able to continue working as a house painter as he had done for the past 30 years . He got a job driving a cab and tried to keep working and sustain his life in Key West .
Then his ability to play guitar started to diminish and started having trouble speaking and finding words and stuttering .
At this point he knew it was something more serious that was not going to just go away . He went to Dr's down in Key West . He was told by his neurologist she believed he had MS . He got his results back saying it was not MS and he needed to go to Miami to a Movement Disorder Specialist . He called for an appointment and they told him he could get an appointment in September .
So through encouragement from friends and family he is going to come north and hopefully get a diagnosis from better doctors than are available to him where he is .
He at this point is depressed and trying to find hope that he can get some anwsers as to what exactly is going on with him .
This is very hard for him as he is a fiercly independent person and has been since his early teens . He has been self supportive his whole life and is not one to not work or not be able to take care of himself . He needs our help .
I know over the years he has done countless benefits to help anyone that has needed it . I have in fact have seen him give the shirt off of his back to a man that needed it . Anyone that knows and loves Ian and is able to help it will be so appreciated . The money will go to general living expenses and medical care until he can either get better and go back to work or get disability if he is unable to function normally . Any little bit helps .Thank you and if you can not help financially please keep him in your prayers that he will find out what is going on with him and hopefully get medication that can ease his suffering . I know a lot of people know and love Ian and please do keep him in your thoughts and prayers .
