In Memory of Ian Baitson

It is with heavy hearts, we create this page to honour the memory of Ian Baitson, whose sudden passing on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, has left us utterly devastated. His loss has deeply affected his family, wide circle friends, and the surrounding community.

Ian was a charming, young man and proud father to two beautiful children, Zoe and Myles. His untimely departure has left a void that can never be filled. In this time of mourning, Ian's family and close friends have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of help, support, generosity, and kindness from our community.

Those of us lucky enough to have known Ian, fondly remember his infectious laughter, enthusiastic greetings and smile that could illuminate even the darkest of rooms. He was not only a great family man, but a great friend and colleague.

In response to numerous requests on how to offer further support to Ian's family, we are setting up this GoFundMe page. Due to the suddenness of Ian's passing, this fund will be used to assist with the unexpected expenses associated with his funeral arrangements. Additionally, it will ensure that Ian's precious children, Zoey and Myles, are supported in the days, weeks, and months ahead. The family also wish to donate a portion of the proceeds to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Cork University Hospital (CUH) in honour of the exceptional care and support they provided to Ian during his time there.

The ICU at CUH holds a special place in our hearts for the remarkable work they continue to do, and the extraordinary care they extend to patients and their families. By making a donation in Ian's honour, we express our deepest gratitude to the dedicated healthcare professionals who tirelessly serve our community through the most difficult of times.
