We are Ian and Miles Darling, brothers from Boxford, Massachusetts. We are proud to announce that based on our academic, athletic and civic achievements, we have been selected along with 26 others to represent the States of Ohio and Massachusetts on a 45 day cultural exchange wrestling tour during the summer of 2017. We are known as the Ohio All-Star Wrestling Team, and we are scheduled to compete against all-star teams from New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and California. This will mark the team's 35th anniversary and since 1983 more than 600 of some of the top youth wrestlers from Ohio and the East Coast have represented the team.

Ian is a seventh grader High Honors student at Masconomet Regional Middle School, and Miles attends Spofford Pond School in the fifth grade. We have both been dedicated wrestlers from a very young age. Locally we compete for Masco Youth Wrestling, and regionally we proudly represent Mercury Rising Wrestling Club. We are thrilled to follow in our older brother Jack's footsteps by being given the opportunity to compete nationally as members of the 2017 Ohio All-Star Wrestling Team (OASWT). We will be representing our hometown and state by promoting the great sport of wrestling and the many qualities that it bestows upon America's youth athletes, such as sportsmanship, dedication, integrity and competitive spirit.

The trip is designed for several purposes. First, it will provide a fantastic opportunity to further our wrestling skills in both Olympic (freestyle) and Collegiate (folkstyle) wrestling with a rigorous training and competition schedule. Secondly, it will serve as an unparalleled cultural learning experience, as between training and competing, the team will have the opportunity to see many of our nation's amazing sites. Visits include Pikes Peak, Hoover Dam, U.S. Olympic Training Center, Mormon Temple Square, Air Force Academy, Hollywood, Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, and much more. Travelling on our own for seven weeks will also teach us valuable life skills, such as financial responsibilty, time management and even how to do our own laundry!

To make this trip a reality, we must EACH raise $5000 by June 1, 2017 to cover training, travel, food, lodging, sightseeing and competition expenses. We hope that you will help us by generously donating so that we may participate in this lifechanging experience. As an affiliated 501(c)3 member organization of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), all contributions are tax-deductible.

We both feel that this unique opportunity will greatly benefit not only our wrestling careers, but will shape our young lives. Experiencing the amazing riches that America offers, confidently representing ourselves and our home in sport and community while afar, and forging the lasting bonds of brotherhood with our teammates -- these are incredible goals that you can help us reach.
We are so grateful for your generosity!
Respectfully, Ian and Miles Darling
