The I Am UU project is a private, crowd-funded ministry that encourages people to affirm and promote the Principles of the UUA in their daily lives and in their community because we believe they make good guidelines for sharing the Earth with one another.
We are a grass-roots, volunteer effort to make it easier to explain and share Unitarian Universalist ideas and values with your friends and family. We are proud of the work we do, and how it clearly touches people. We know that it has led people to visit their local UU Congregation for the first time. We are happy to be able to give it away to individuals and congregations, so they can share liberal religion with more people.
The UUA doesn't sponsor the I Am UU project. Neither does any member congregation (though several have expressed their thanks). Due to life changes, our admin can no longer afford to give away the 40+ hours a week that he used to put into the project. That means putting less time and effort into the project and losing the momentum we've built up over the last two years, or raising money to sustain the project.
This was never meant to be a career, or even a real ministry, but it has grown to fill a need that clearly isn't being met by any other project. We, as a community, have built something we can all be proud of, and we are sharing liberal religion with more people than ever before. We really do want to be abel to conitnue supporting that with inspirational quotes, links, and graphics designed to be shared.
If you value what we bring you, we need to hear from you. We need to know what you like, what things you are sharing that people are responding to, and whether you think this project is worth a dollar a month to you.
