Our dad is John, a devoted, hardworking, and caring man with a magnetic presence and an exquisite sense of humor and wit. Unfortunately, he is going blind as diabetic retinopathy has left him with one semi-functional eye. His dedication and sacrifice throughout our lives made it possible for my sister and I to see Europe and gain a vital perspective on life. With your help, we want to give that gift back to him.

With the progressive nature of retinopathy, we are motivated to ensure that our dad can experience Europe the way he allowed us to experience it. Whether it is researching our ancestry in Ireland or seeing the spectacle of Paris, he deserves to finally have the same experience that he gave to us. But our resources can only take us so far so soon. If we knew we had 10 good years, that would be different. But we have no guarantee.

Our goal is to raise enough money for him to make a trip to Europe within the next year or so. The specifics will be determined based on what will give him the most fulfillment and of course how much we can raise.

We want him to SEE the world before he can’t anymore, but we need your help to make this happen for this incredible man.
