Ava's Battle with TSC
Donation protected

My beautiful one-year old niece Ava underwent brain surgery this past Monday to remove two tumors (size of a 50 cent coin) which have caused her seizures since birth. She's not out of the woods yet as she is still battling seizures that have lasted as long as 50 minutes.
Ava has a rare genetic condition known as Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) , a condition that causes tumors to grow in major organs such as the heart, brain, eyes, kidneys, lungs, and skin. In most cases, these tumors are benign. Unfortunately, Ava's tumors are in her heart, brain and kidneys, which are causing her seizures and other developmental issues.
The road to recovery is long and Ava is a strong fighter. She's currently in Pediatric Intensive Care at UCLA Medical Center. We're praying for a miracle to help reduce her seizures. It's been a struggle for my sister and family...emotionally, physically and financially. Your support will help with Ava's medical care and her long road to recovery. Even if you're unable to provide financial support, we would be grateful for your thoughts and prayers as she battles to get well. Please also spread the word about TSC. There is no cure and more research is needed to battle this condition.
We ask for your support today!
