Hi all. Its 6 months now since our friend Iain passed away suddenly, I still find it strange not to bump into him walking the dog and expect to see him every time I hear a chainsaw going in the village. We would like to do something in his memory and after discussing with Annabel have decided to buy a trophy we can name “The Blackie” in Iain’s memory to be competed for in our annual football match against the cricket club and also a reverse 20 over cricket fixture as Iain was also a keen social supporter of the cricket club on Friday evenings. If there’s enough raised we will also buy a black and white football kit that one of the teams will play in each year in honour of Iain’s love of ‘the Toon’.

Anything else raised will go to charity to be agreed with Annabel.
