After some struggles in recent years, the App State Club Ice Hockey Team is attempting to build back to full strength. It looks like the current group of players have done a lot to right the ship. Things have never been easy for this team, as all of you can attest. From a logisitics stand point, we were never on a level playing surface with other teams.
I have created this crowdfunding page in an attempt to connect former players, friends, and parents in the hopes of helping the current team pay off old debts and potentially help the club financially in the future. I have set an initial goal of $1,500.00, which will pay off existing debt owed to Extreme Ice Center here in Charlotte. This amount includes the current debt owed, plus expected costs for the Go Fund Me service (roughly 8%). If we meet our goal, I will personally take the funds to Extreme Ice Center and post the receipt in the email thread and on this page, in order to ensure that: a) every donor can verify the debt has been paid; and b) everything is on the up-and-up.
This is completely optional and there is no minimum donation required. But I know that I am not the only person who wants to see App State Ice Hockey succeed far into the future.
