Fund for Husker use of North Star
After having 7 straight seasons of at least nine wins, the foolish Athletic Director for the University of Nebraska - Lincoln decided to fire Bo Pelini on Sunday, November 30th, 2014.
How were the student athletes informed, you might ask? Surely there was a meeting where all of the students and the coach could gather, right?
Wrong. UNL decided that sending an email would be appropriate.
Fast forward to Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 - a staff member at Lincoln North Star school agreed to let Bo Pelini meet with his players one last time. However, since this meeting was not properly authorized by using the online system, the staff member(who so far has not been named) is being fined $500, even though the school was open that night for a different activity. Please see the story here:

I know that many of us are still upset by the firing of a great man, leader, and coach. Just imagine the heartbreak that these young men are going through. All people involved in this meeting deserved to have closure, and this staff member did the correct thing.
Now, it is our turn to do the correct thing. Husker fans are known for being welcoming and kind. Let's step up and cover the $500 fine for this staff member, who was only trying to be a decent person.
I believe in you, Huskers!
