Team Webbygail kindly invites you to help SAVE OUR CYSTER!

Our "Cyster" is Abigail Dunning, an amazing twenty-six year old who suffers from the devastating genetic disease Cystic Fibrosis (CF).  As her CF progresses, Abigail has begun to suffer from its collective effects on her body, and has now reached the point where she is a candidate for a double lung transplant.

The road she has traveled thus far has been one that she has bravely walked, never complaining or even asking, "Why me?"

Abigail has faced her life, which has been characterized by time consuming daily treatments, mulitple medications along with significant restrictions and  challenges, with an attitude and an inner strength that is unmatched.

Abigail, known affectionately as Webbygail to her close friends and family, is now facing an even steeper climb as her disease, and her life, moves into the next stages.

The progressively destructive nature of Cystic Fibrosis has taken a great toll on her body. Frankly, it has wrecked havoc on most of her organs, including her precious, yet overworked lungs. Abigail has been hospitalized frequently her entire life, but has now reached the point where she requires significant assistance to even breathe.

Imagine, this beautiful young lady, struggling to do something most of us take for granted each day of our lives.

To just breathe.

That is what Abigail wants. She just wants to be able to just breathe.

In order to do this, she needs new lungs. Plain and simple.

Her lungs have been destroyed by the effects of Cystic Fibrosis, and as her friends and family, we'd like to do all we can to help her get a transplant. The next part of Abigail's journey involves a great deal of patience, a great deal of support, and a whole lot of doctors' visits, traveling and research. All the while, the daily demands placed on her body continue to compound. As a result, our Cyster (an affectionate term for Cystic Fibrosis patients) Webbygail is fast approaching a tipping point in her life.

We are asking for your help in funding this next step, so that Abigail can focus solely on her health. She has already incurred thousands of dollars in medical bills, despite her insurance coverage, as a result of her CF. As she begins the transplant process, she will be incurring travel expenses, more medical bills, relocation costs and will be unable to work any longer, meaning she will also likely lose her insurance coverage.

While the goal we have set is outrageous, it is, in truth, a conservative estimate of the costs of a double lung transplant. In order for her to achieve the outcome she desires, she will need an extremely large umbrella of support. We, her family and friends, are willing to do all we can to help. We have begun to rally, and believe that we can save our Cyster by helping her to get the double lung transplant she needs... but we can't do it alone.

That's why Team Webbygail has tapped into this crowd-sourced fundraising platform. We need your help.

All of the money raised here will go towards medical, travel and living expenses needed to help Team Webbygail SAVE OUR CYSTER. Abigail's family has set up an account that can be accessed when needed, to help alleviate the financial strain that this, the next leg in her journey, is guaranteed to create. If you would like to help, we welcome your donation. Please know, that  by contributing to this fund, you will be helping to extend the life of a beautiful and deserving woman, and simultaneously giving our world the gift of her presence for awhile longer.
