I295 car fire total lost

7-11-18 I was coming home from work when i got to the highway on i295 I smelt a gas I thought it was the car a head of me. With my firefighter training I was able to put my tactics into play. I heard a burst of flames. I looked in the mirror on the right side. And saw flames. I tried to hit the brakes, but they were not working the car was increasing speed. My car lock and had to fight the locks to open the car. I had to slam the car in to the guard rail and jump out 25 to 30mph car. 10 secs and it was in gulf in flames. It was a total lost. I have second degree burns. Lost a lot of stuff in the fire. Cds, fitbit, phone, pager, fishing poles and other stuff. Just need a reliable car to get to work and back. For the wife, stepdaughter, and I. Im very lucky to be alive.
