Local newspaper article about the accident.
Debby is home now recovering from her injuries. Tim is still hospitalized recovering from a broken neck and multiple broken bones among other injuries. He has undergone two major surgeries. The prognosis is good for Tim although he will have to undergo months of intensive physical and occupational therapy in order to walk again. Both Debby and Tim are out of work on medical leave for the foreseeable future.
My name is Becky Griffith, sister of Debby. I am conducting this GoFundMe campaign to raise money to help the Calloway family repair the road leading to their home. The road is not maintained by the State. Tim will be in a wheelchair when he comes home. He will need to be transported in a wheelchair accessible van or convelescent ambulance. The family's rural, uphill, mountainous road to their home needs to be graded, graveled, and hopefully paved. Some large trees will need to be removed, too. This roadwork will allow easier access for the vehicles to transport Tim. Please know that any monies raised that are above and beyond the cost of road repair will be used to help make the Calloway home more handicap accessible.
I want to thank you in advance for any assistance that you can offer to this wonderful, loving couple. Their lives have been changed forever due to this unfortunate accident. May the Good Lord Bless you as you share in lifting the burdens of this family. Please know that you are appreciated. The Christmas Season is truly a time of giving and sharing with others.
