Dave and Sue Jones have been active members of our community all of their lives. Sue has been very active in volunteering at the Mercy House of the Southern Tier and the Church of the Holy Family in Endwell. They really need your help now!
On July 2nd, Dave was diagnosed with pneumonia. He was admitted to Wilson Hospital on July 9th until July 13th. He was readmitted on
July 18th and was placed on a ventilator for 9 days. He remained in the hospital until September 12th, when he was transported to Presbyterian Columbia Hospital in NYC until September 28th.
At that time, he was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease and acute and chronic respiratory failure. He was also diagnosed with an underlying autoimmune disease. The only treatment for this is a lung transplant. Dave has stated on autoimmune suppressants to prepare for this. As a result, Dave and Sue will be traveling back and forth to NYC indefinitely.
Dave has been a bartender at Kristofor's for 35+ years and also been employed at Traditions at the Glen for 10+ years. He will never be able to return to these jobs. Their loss of income, as well as extraordinary medical costs, travel expenses and other miscellaneous expenses are adding up quickly causing considerable financial strain.
Please consider donating to Dave and Sue. Please pray for them.
