Hello! My name is Colin McCalla and I am a student. actor, dancer, and aspiring creative artist who has written my first short film and have a crazy ambition to produce it and produce it well.
I'll Be Seeing You follows a young man, Ben, and his not-quite-yet girlfriend, Valerie, on their last night together before Valerie leaves to France for three months. Before being with Valerie, Ben always struggled when it came to finding himself able to commit to and sustain a serious relationship. She wants him to just say the words and make them official; he desperately doesn't want to ruin another relationship. The fact that they face a significant long distance only exacerbates Ben's usual hesitations. Underscored by music reminiscent of a past era, featuring Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong to name a few, I'll Be Seeing You seeks to tell a story of fear in the face of love, and begs questions about longing and regret.
I already have a very talented, professional cast, director of photography, and a few crew on board, but I still require financial assistance with equipment, food on set to feed the cast and crew, and overall production costs. I hope you would consider contributing to what I hope will be my successful directorial debut and a genuine work of art.
