My name is Becky and I am a teacher at Red Gates School, a special needs school in Croydon specialising in children with autism.

Red Gates School is a wonderful place that gives children with severe autism compassion, care and the tools to be the best that they can be. Through a combination of teaching our children communication, academic and life skills alongside providing for the complex needs of our children, we strive to being out the best in every child and achieve beyond what anyone can dream of. I work with an amazing team of teachers, TAs and support staff who work tirelessly to provide the best experiences for our children. As a school, we have recently achieved outstanding in all areas from Ofsted, a huge achievement.

This May, myself and my dad will be doing our bit to give back to this amazing place, walking 100km from London to Brighton in two days. This will be a massive undertaking and a huge personal challenge for all of us! If you want to support us on this crazy journey, all I ask is you give a small donation in aid of Friends of Red Gates School (FoRGS). All money raised will be going straight to them and with this money, we will be able to provide equipment and resources to support our children in being their best selves.
