My name is Alexandria. I came to Alabama with a purpose: To love, pour into community, grow my businesses, connect with my culture; and deepen my roots. I was brought here by someone I built a foundation with, someone I trusted.

That trust was betrayed. The relationship became abusive, and I was forced into the role of survivor. I am a Black woman, a truth‑teller, and someone who has been failed by too many systems that were supposed to protect me.

Now, my abuser is using the courts to continue his harassment. He filed a civil lawsuit against me, demanding over $50,000 for gifts and shared expenses he willingly paid while we were together. I have videos, receipts, and witnesses proving these were his choices. He knows that dragging me to court drains my resources and retraumatizes me. The trial is set for May 11, 2026.

I have fired my previous attorney for failing to defend me. I am currently unrepresented and fighting alone, and I refuse to let him win.

· Resources to help other survivors fight back (sharing what I learn, building tools, warning others)
