I was scammed $17000, plz help get my money back

Hello, my name is Aizon also known as Stormy Fluff and I'm asking for your generosity.

4 months ago I bought my dream car. 1 week ago it was taken from me.

I bought a 2015 Ford Focus hatchback from a private sale on Facebook marketplace. I paid in full for the car and was ecstatic to finally have exactly what I wanted. It wasn't cheap, and I had saved for years of my life to have a car in my name. The sale went well and the previous owner came off as extremely helpful and friendly.

Until one day my car was repossessed and taken from my hands, with a company telling me I would never get it back.

Turns out there was a lien and the previous owner owed $20,000 on the car. This being my first purchase, I didn't even know what a lien was or that someone on this planet was sick enough to rob me blind.

The best part? He used a fake phone number, a fake facebook account, and a fake address when selling the car making it impossible to get in contact with him, proving that he had the intention of ghosting me. He knowingly lied to me, scammed me for $12,000, and falsely agreed on a government document that there were no liens on the car.

This doesn't include The time I spent with the car. It was my baby, I dumped $1500 into a brand new stereo sound system for it. I took it to a shop and got it repaired. I spent $250 putting all new liquids and filters into it. I spent $3500 on registeration and insurance for it. It meant so much to me, it was my favourite colour and it reflected my personality in every way. This car meant so much to me and made me feel complete. I thought I had finally gotten everything I had ever wanted

In total I have spent $17,000 for this vehicle and in the end I don't get that money or the car. I don't have any transportation, no asset, or no money. I'm missing years of hard work and money, and I also feel like I'm missing a piece of my soul. My goal is to try and get at LEAST my money back by suing the scammer. Even some of it would help me feel better, I've been so broken and lost from this situation and I need your help.
