Hello all.
My name is Jeff. I am a 50-year-old former Executive Radio producer and Podcast producer who used to be very successful up until recently.

My life took a very bad turn earlier this year in June when I discovered that my ex-girlfriend stole all of my credit cards.

The total debt is currently $27,471.81, and I have taken a screenshot and posted it as proof, just scroll to the bottom of this message and see for yourself. My ex-girlfriend maxed them out and left me in debt to the point where I wasn't able to pay my rent and had no money for food or utilities.

You will also see a very small amount of $6.02 in my account at the bottom in the picture . That is the exact amount of money I have available to me in my checking/debit account. In other words, that is the amount of money I currently have access to as of 11-7-25. No cash on hand, just that amount you see.

My current rented apartment in New Jersey is $1000 monthly, and I am currently 6 months behind, which puts me at $5220 owed to my landlord.

Because of this, he is now going through the formal eviction process, which means court dates and forcible removal (physically being removed) from my apartment, where I've been renting for nearly 9 years with no problems (8 years 6 months total).

The official eviction date is set for 12-15-2025. If I do not move by then, court marshals will come and forcibly remove me within 3 days.

In addition, I've had to sell all of my valuable items (valuable collectables that have all now been sold on eBay for crazy fees, very cheap and causing me to lose more than 75% of the value) including clothing that I've acquired over the years, leaving me with the basics of sweatpants, sneakers and t-shirts, in order to pay for things like food, electricity and my phone which I am using as my primary source of internet since I can no longer afford that either (only $45 monthly, lowest cheapest plan).

UPDATE: I have no officially not paid my internet for 2 months to save money and use towards rent.

My electric bill has been paid up until last month, and now approaching $200 on top of whatever new charges will come for this month.

UPDATE: Because of your donations, I was able to pay a discounted rate on my electricity, so I am ok until I am evicted.

My insurance car payment has increased to about $150 monthly, which is 2 months behind so I owe over $450 because of late fees, and if I do not pay that by the 27th of December 2025, they will revoke my license.

I do have a car, but it has numerous problems which will not allow it to pass inspection which is due soon (I can't afford the repairs, and it will fail inspection if I take it in right now).

UPDATE: The car has also recently been sideswiped by a truck on the passenger side last week during thanksgiving while parked. It's usable, but some damage to the rear tire and paint scratches / markings on the passenger side. Car is still usable.

I am a very skilled Podcast Producer, Audio Editor and Video Editor who loves creating podcasts (recording, editing, uploading to social media, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and creating graphics, Voice Overs - top to bottom) and am open to any and all jobs relating to this area. Any leads for remote work (or local of course) would be extremely helpful.

I've applied to Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Best Buy, various gyms and warehouse stores, UPS, FedEx, USPS - everyone you can think of - just to get a job of any type to make ends meet for the last 6 months.

Unfortunately, because of all of the stress of my situation, while taking a temporary job at UPS as a Package Handler (those of you who have this job know it's grueling and very physically demanding) caused me to pass out, revealing that I have a condition called "Venous Vasculopathy" due to the early stages of congestive heart failure.
This means that I cannot engage in any physically demanding jobs that require constant stamina, heavy lifting or moving around. That's why my ideal job would be producing a podcast full time or working some type of job where I am not moving around like seated or standing customer service or an assistant.

Here's the problem: I am 50 years old, although I don't look it, but that does play a factor, unfortunately, in trying to get a job locally in New Jersey, at least that has been my experience.

I have tried walk-ins to delivery jobs, restaurants offering to be a maintenance worker, went to local businesses having great discussions with owners: Everyone has sympathy, no one wants to take a chance.

I was formerly an Executive Radio Producer, as mentioned above, in New York City for a decade until the Talk Radio era ended and merged into podcasting. I moved into that direction, but since Covid work has been difficult. So I am a very skilled and experienced podcaster and podcast producer, willing to work, today.

My total debt, not including the smaller ones, is approximately $34,971.81. Of course, that amount would be what I would need to clear all of my debts, but I am not asking for that.

I am asking for $5,220 which would cover the rent owed to my landlord PLUS another $1055 to cover next month's rent which is actually the security deposit he used and also to provide him with the confidence that I will be able to pay for the future rent.

The remaining money will be used to repair my car, get it inspected, and use it to commute to any work to and from anywhere to start my life up again.

My goals, after this, are to work full-time as a podcast producer, editor, voiceover person if needed, and be the best producer anyone has ever had for their podcast. So in addition to the above ask, I am also asking for a full-time job, from anyone, literally anywhere in the US, and I will travel to make it happen. I am currently in New Jersey and would ideally like to stay here, but I would move to major cities if the offer was worth it and completely relocate.

In closing, I really need help and I need it now. I waited until I exhausted all possibilities and approaches to get a job, ask my friends for money (no one wants to help me). I have no living family or relatives and my landlord, even though I've been loyal for 8 years of consistent payment and even going beyond to help with maintaining the resident, instead of asking me to leave directly is going the full legal route by filing for my eviction, which I cannot defend, and will become homeless and lose all of my possessions.

He has agreed that, in the event that I pay all of my owed debt and a full month in advance, he will stop the eviction. But this needs to be done before 12-15-25, so I only have about 2 weeks days from the time I am updating posting this request, which is now 12-1-2025. This equates to just above $6,000 and would allow me to live here for 6 months more.

I am grateful for anyone reading, more grateful to anyone donating to me, and I am willing to give updates and keep in touch with all of you who donate.

If I am hired by anyone for a full-time podcast job, I will make a pledge to re-donate all money given, when I have acquired enough money from the new job, and spread it out to people in need (with screenshots) and give it back to the GoFundMe community to people in similar situations.

I do not want to be homeless, I am willing to work and the weather is already extremely cold here and I cannot fathom being on the street. NO friends, NO living family and no options. That's why I came here and am asking for help.

I want to work, I want to rebuild, and I hope you can help. Thanks for the time and if you have any questions, please ask.

-Jeff
