Hi, my name is Denys, I'm 30 years old, and I'm from Bogotá, Colombia. I got my degree as a Biologist in 2020 at the Pontifical Xavierian University in Bogotá, Colombia. During the pandemic situation I made several courses of my interest related with my career, ending de 2021 I made my first volunteer in Costa Rica for three months, then in the middle of 2022 I went to Gorgona island in Colombia to made another volunteer; during this time I worked at the company of my dad as a Community Manager, but if you notice this is not related with my career. Several times I searched for job opportunities in my field as a Biologist, but even if it was for a technician or to be a practitioner I was not chosen, so at the moment, I have been working at the company of my dad since 2021. You may ask, why I'm thinking in study a diploma at my age, it is because different circumstances happened in my family and that made me delay my projects. I need this opportunity to grow in the area that I really love, I just want to be happy learning and apporting to nature. Also I want to tell you that I have been accepted in NAIT in an Environmental diploma, I started my studies on September of 2025; I have good grades, my current GPA is 3.9. I use this alternative because in my country there is a company that brings financial support for study abroad (this was like my first plan for finance this project of studying and growing as a biologist) , but at this moment they don't have the support of the government, so they don't have money for new loans, the plan B was my dad, but at the moment he is drowning with his own debts and the education of my sister, and plan C was using a bank for a loan, but I don't have the debt capacity for that amount of money. So that's why, I hope you could help me to reach this dream, you are my plan D. I am coursing my 2nd semester and the bills of my studies are not paid, to be honest I am worried about my future. All the money that I can get here will pay my studies because that is the most important thing to pay, I can eat less and just stay at home to avoid unnecessary expenses...
