My name is Hamdy Miqdad, I am from Gaza.

Since the beginning of this war, I have lost everything: my mother, my brothers and sisters, my friends, and even my home. My entire world was destroyed in front of my eyes.

One night, our house was bombed. My mother and siblings were killed under the rubble. I survived, but I came out to a life of emptiness — no family, no shelter, no safety. One by one, I also lost my friends to the strikes. Today, I am left completely alone.

I live with nothing but painful memories, surrounded by destruction. All I wish for now is the chance to leave Gaza and live a life of peace and dignity — a life where I can feel safe again, where I can rebuild and dream again.
