Hi everyone!

Earlier this year I started a Gofundme to raise money to replace my unsafe e-bike, without which I was more or less housebound. Amazing generosity helped me achieve that dream, and my lovely new e-bike is pictured above.

However, on the very first time I went out on the e-bike, someone tried to steal it! Fortunately, they were unable to do so. But they did manage to steal the battery. Without the battery, I can barely move the bike, and I cannot cycle uphill at all even on a gentle slope. As there is no battery, the bike is almost useless to me, and I am once more trapped at home.

There were no witnesses to the crime, and the CCTV camera for the location which usually works, was not working. I parked in a spot I have used for eight years, and the business where I park said this is the first time they have ever had a bicycle theft there. So there is no chance at all that the police can find the thief and get my battery back for me.

I really hope that there are a few generous people out there who can make a contribution, no matter how small, towards my getting a replacement battery. It would cost almost £500 to replace.
