I STAND WITH LANDEN!

Landen Pasenow is the precious son of my best friend, Elysia. He has endured so much in his little life, including being on hospice twice and surviving cancer twice. Thursday evening, Landen was declining fast. His kidneys were failing, and he was in septic shock. Elysia, Jason, and Kailee were facing what no family should ever have to: losing their son and brother. Landen was placed on multiple life-saving medications, intubated, and paralyzed in hopes of resting his body to recover. Landen is our little fighter and did what he always does. After being extubated, he had another setback and is now struggling again and back in ICU.

This will be a long journey for the family. Nobody feels comfortable asking for help. I feel in my heart that this is what I need to do. As a special needs mom myself, we are private. Elysia just recently started a new job and had to already give it up due to Landen's health. Jason is doing the best he can trying to maintain financial stability. The truth is, they need our help! These are unforeseen circumstances that no person plans for.

The time off work/inability to work is a huge strain on the family.
