I Stand with Kirby- help Kirby take legal action!

One of my dearest childhood friends has been secretly surviving Domestic Violence for over a year, and now that she took the courageous step to come forward, she needs us all to stand with her!
Kirby is a survivor of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and a victim of revenge porn after coming forward about her separation from her ex-fiancé, comedian, Majah Hype on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Intimate Partner Violence is often marked by the overlap of physical abuse, emotional abuse, psychological abuse, and financial devastation. As a former police officer, the revenge porn released by Majah Hype has now severed any possibilities of Kirby returning to her career. Now that the hashtag #IStandWithKirby has gone viral, Kirby and her family need us all to stand with her to retain a lawyer so that she can seek justice!
While the United States typically has a lot of resources to support Domestic Violence survivors, in this particular case Kirby has to protect herself against someone with celebrity status, money, and influence, so she has chosen a private lawyer, which is costly. While its intentions are good, the legal aid system tends to be overburdened with cases because it is more of a pro bono system.
I share this campaign as Kirby's close personal friend since childhood. I stand as a witness of her character and as a witness that the smear campaign following her testimony is meant to confuse the public.
Kirby will not be silenced. She has made it clear to the world that she will take her power back, and that she will fight towards healing for herself, for her son, and for the thousands of women that have shared that her story, is their story.
