I slipped a disc (and not the frisbee kind)

Hi frens,

I'm Scout and I'm almost 8 years old. I'm a shepherd mix saved from the streets by my lovely family Mom, Chris, and Izzy. I've been with them since I was 12 weeks old and nothing makes me happier or more fulfilled than providing them with love, care, and support in times of need. But I'm afraid this time, I need them more than ever.

Times have been tough for everyone and I'm so bummed to make them tougher. I accidentally slipped a disc in my back and it's causing me tremendous pain and discomfort. I collapsed suddenly last night but I tried to grit through it. This morning though, Chris found me unable to stand up and he carried me all the way to the hospital.

Unfortunately, I'm going to need surgery if I'm to continue walking. Nothing breaks my heart like the thought of never walking Chris to get ice cream or escorting his partner Charlie to get coffee in the mornings. I don't often ask for help but I know that my family would appreciate any support you can muster to help me through emergency surgery and recovery afterwards. My duggie health insurance only covers about $2000 worth of the care. Mom taught me how to stay organized and I got line item breakdowns of the treatment plan if any of you frens are interested in the details.
